The University of British Columbia is proud to honour Fred Kaiser for his commitments to innovation, entrepreneurialism, and the advancement of education.

Mr. Kaiser is an international leader in the creation of revolutionary power supply whose work has played a key role in the transformation of the high-tech economy of British Columbia.

Throughout his career, Fred Kaiser has made great contributions as both an entrepreneur and a philanthropist to ensure the growth of BC’s economy. He has served as Director of the Vancouver Board of Trade, a Regional Chairman of the US Chamber of Commerce, and a member of the World Economic Forum. In 2012 he received the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

The University of British Columbia particularly commends Fred Kaiser for his generous contributions to Engineering education, which have made an indelible impact on the lives of many.
