Presented by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), the Higher Education Summit held on 11 November 2010 was a two-day global conference that brought together policy makers, leaders in higher education, government officials, business leaders and other special guests.
Professor Toope addressed the Summit on behalf of an Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada (AUCC) delegation. Fifteen university and college presidents were part of this joint venture to build engagement. Summit participants discussed knowledge sharing, the identification of policy and practice imperatives, and possible action plans for future initiatives.
