Dr. Melanie Stewart appointed UBC’s new Vice-President, External Relations
I am pleased to announce that Dr. Melanie Stewart has been appointed as UBC’s new Vice-President, External Relations, effective September 1, 2024.

On June 27, 2024, Her Excellency the Right Honourable Mary Simon, Governor General of Canada, announced 83 new appointments to the Order of Canada. Many of the most recent appointments have ties to UBC, as faculty members, researchers, alumni, and supporters.
